cant read doc attachment in hotmail.com

sending email to my xxx@hotmail.com with word attachment
1*sending from xxx@yahoo.com – i can download & open the attachment
2*sending from xxx@hotmail.com to xxx@hotmail.com – can dwnload & open the attachment
3*sending from oputlook 2003 (not outlook express) to xxx@hotmail.com – i canot download nor open the attachment. (in all cases it is the same doc)
