Career paths-HRMS/Payroll to ERP in S A?

I have been in the HRMS/Payroll Applications Implementation environment for some years now, and need to find some way of breaking into the wider ERP environment, obviously without taking any backwards steps. Anybody on this forum that’s got any ideas, preferably specifically relating to the South African software applications market?
