CDRW SYSTEM PROBLEMS

CD-RW says cant access when clicking on drive letter. Started with downloading software for mp3 otis hardware driver. Uninstall driver due to problems, took cd-rw drive out. Tried to install cd-rw drive back, Buslink is name of device.
Have cdrom under system, and cdrw driver listed.
Still cannot access cd-rw drive.
What to do? Cant use cd drive at all.
