Color problem in Word

Hi,
I have the following situation
2 computers one running W98 the other newly configured to run XP Home. Both have Office 97 loaded.
The XP computer has just been networked to the W98 computer.
The W98 computer is the “server” for documents, has the Epson color printer attached.
A given document, with letterhead which has background color Dark Red, looks and prints correctly from the W98 computer, but the same document in the XP computer has this background color more of a brown than red, even though it is still defined as Dark Red. The looks on the monitor is not important, however, the printout, using the same Epson printer, is also brown.
I have set the color management profile for the printer in both computers to be the same, with no difference.
Can anyone throw some light onto this?
