Connect to Exchange Server?

Is there a way to connect an SQL 7 server to an Exchange 5.5 server so that the Public folders in exchange appear as tables in SQL7?

I want to be able to publish the contents of the Exchange Public folders on an Intra/Extranet.

Is there a better way to do it?
