We recently switched our network from Novell to Microsoft, and we are now using Outlook 2002 as the email program. Some of our managers have used ACT! as a contact manager, but we’re considering switching everything over to Outlook. I’m having a problem converting the Notes from ACT! to anything legible in Outlook. I realize that Outlook works with a journal where notes could be gathered, as well as sticky notes, which are a little different from the ACT! Notes.
My only solution at this point is to have someone cut and paste each note into the respective contact in Outlook which seems to be a rather cumbersome task since the managers keep rather detailed notes, and have been for the last couple of years.
Does anyone have any idea on how to make this easier? I have tried all the suggestions that both ACT! and Outlook offer, i.e., saving the ACT! Notes to a lower version, saving to Excel, etc., but I have not been successful.
Thank you for looking into this.
