converting OLE in Access to Word

I have an Access database with embedded in a report an OLE derived from a Word file. The Word file is no longer available, and I would like to recreate it from the database. I have tried exporting the file after Print to an rtf file, but got only an empty file (well, it may have had some invisible characters), probably because the formatting exceeds the rtf standard. It is apparently not possible to export to Word. The OLE class of the object is Microsoft Word 97; the class is Word.document.8; the display type is content.
