Converting visio to .pdf

Does anyone know how to convert a visio drawing to a .pdf file without all the text changing into a mess of numbers and letters. I am converting it by printing the file to adobepdfwriter. I have tried changing the text to “no style”, “normal”, “none” and “text only”. The font is arial, I have also tried Times New Roman. Please help.
