copy (crtl c) logs me off sometimes

FOLKS! ANY IDEAS?
There are more than 500 users in our network. The help desk keeps getting calls that sometimes copy paste, cut paste or closing excel automatically logs the user off. This happend randomly to any user. To rectify this we ask the user to log off, turn the machine off and re start. However, we are looking to having a permanent solution.
