Default Inbox Folder now subfolder…

We have a few users in our office whose Default Outlook Inbox Folder is now showing as a sub-folder of another folder and we cannot move it back. The message we get is “special folders cannot be moved”. We use Exchange Server 2000/Outlook 2000. Does anyone know how to move this folder back?
