Delegates see private items-Outlook 2k3

We just recently upgraded our workstations from Outlook 97 to Outlook 2003 (finally!). Before this upgrade, delegates could not see items in the mailbox they were managing that had been marked Private. However when we did the upgrade, if you had a delegate on your mailbox, the default setting was to give the delegate access to items in your mailbox marked as private.

Is there any way to change this behavior via a Reg Hack or patch, that will turn this option off?

The setting is in Tools / Options / Delegates / Properties / Delegate can see my private items.
