Deleted users

This maybe a newbie Q but haven’t found a good answer yet. When you delete a former user you end up get endless NDRs. Any way to filter these? One forum suggests setting up a single mailbox with multiple alias to help delete them but I don’t wantsenders to stop getting NDRs. Any thoughts?
