Deleting default Word 2002 Templates

I have Word 2002 (XP) loaded on my computer and also have a few company customize templates. I need to delete Word default template tabs. How can I do that? I have tried removing the Template folder from c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\ but when getting back into Word Template, the default template tabs are still there. Have research Microsoft Knowledgebase but could not find anything relevant. Any idea?
