Delivery Failure in Outlook 2000

I have Outlook 2000 on a Windows 2000 PC set up for internet email. I connect using a LAN. The email server is on our network but is for Groupwise. It accepts the pop3 connections from the Outlook client most of the time.

Sometimes I get a mail delivery error. The error is: “Unable to connect to server. (Account ‘{My Name}’, POP3 server: ‘{the servers IP address}’, error number: 0x000ccc0e).”

How can I resolve this?
