Desktop sidebar branding – what to expect from software?

Good day!

I would appreciate suggestions from users who know desktop tools and branded desktop applications. I am developing new software that writes and brands custom desktop sidebars. The software is posted on sidebarbuilder.com. I?d like to learn what expectations users may have for the software. Which features/functions would you consider useful? In what ways do you expect to customize/brand a desktop sidebar application?

Many thanks! I look forward to your comments.
