Disabling GIFS on Galaxy s8?

Is it possible to disable GIFS being offered you when composing text messages on Samsung Galaxy S8?

A friend of mine has a habit of sending throbbing love hearts (by mistake & clumsiness) & the like in messages that should be sober & serious
