Disabling Windows Messenger vs Outlook.

I liked the Article about disabling / removing Microsoft Messenger from Windows XP. It showed us how to disable Messenger from Windows XP. I already have that option set-up. However, everytime I start Microsoft Office Outlook, messenger will boot up. I do not want to remove messenger, but would like to disable it from starting with Outlook. Is there a way to do this.
