Disappearing Emails during move folder

Using Outlook XP/2002 I accidentally moved several emails message from a temporary folder (held in a PST file) to the user’s “Mailbox” folder on the Exchange server rather than the “Inbox” as I intended.

[Right click on the relevant email choose Move to folder and select Mailbox.]

The mails disappeared from the source but I cannot find their destination. Am I going mad or is this a really weird bug/feature?

Can anyone help me locate the vanishing emails?
