Domino busy

We have a couple of Domino servers that suddenly get real busy and don’t allow connections. The only thing that really seems to be taking up any extra processing is the beremote service. After stopping beremote the problem is still there so we are not sure if this is related. Domino will not restart and the whole server needs to be restarted before it starts working fine again. People who already have connections can still work but no one new can connect until it is restarted. We have checked for spyware and our Symantec anti-virus is up to date.
