E-mail Accts Old to New Computer

I wish to transfer the 4 existing Outlook Express 6.0 e-mail accounts (i.e. identities, folders, messages)and Address Book on my current Dell Dimension system (running WIN 93SE) to Outlook Express 6.0 on my new Dell Dimension XPS system (running WINXP Pro).

I tried using PC Relocator to do a “wholesale” move of the Outlook accounts structure and data. The program loaded fine on both systems but the USB link failed.

I then tried copying the C:\windows\application data\Identities\ \microsoft\outlook express information onto 1.44MB floppies (my existing system does not have CD-R/RW drive) and manually placing them in the Identities folder for each User under WIN XP Pro.

Outlook Express on the XP system would not recognize the data.

I would appreciate it if anyone has done this before and can offer me guidance as to what steps to take to make the transfer work. I do have a 40GB external USB 2.0 Travan tape drive that I could hookup and copy large amounts of data from the old system, that I could then connect to the new system and download the data to the location(s) I need to.

This e-mail account transfer action is the only thing preventing me from cutting over to the new system. I have already established a conection on the new system and my Comcast High-Speed Internet service.
