Edit text of Exch2K sysadmin messages

I want to change the text of the email messages that Exchange 2K generates when a mailbox reaches the various limits that are set on that mailbox for warning, prohibit send and prohibit send and receive. Right now, the message that is sent to the user is the same each time, and not very informative. I find that either the user ignores the message or panics when they get it. I know that this can be done by using CDO and event sinks, but I’ve never done any of this and have no idea even where to start. I’ve checked TechNet and the private newsgroups and all they will say is it can be done, but you will have to pay for the info on how to do it!! Any help, pointers or resources for applicable documentation will get you at least some of the points.
