Editing Spanish words in Word 2000?

I need to edit (verify spelling, grammar, accent marks) in Word documents brought into WORD?

I am using Windows 2000 on Windows 2000, SP4. I could not find adequate help in WORD 2000 or in Windows 2000 help files.
