Email message stayin in outbox

Hi

I have a user that when she hit send to send a e-mail message, the message stays in her outbox until she clicks another folder or clicks the outbox folder. The same thing happens when she is recieving mail. Her outlook will just sit there and as soon as she click on any folder all her email messages will download into her inbox. Please help
