email server log errors!

I am receiving an error on my email server saying:
[15/Jun/2004 07:07:33] Illegal line end (LF) in SMTP DATA converted to CRLF (from )
My email server rejects these but I am being hit with this by about 1000 messages/hr.
What does this error mean?
