error

hi every body
i got a problem.
i have a pc with os winXP and office2000, and i have many word document files . some of them operate well and three of them does not work at all…
when i try to open them ,the file really opens but after a 3 seconds i got that error message with the two options (send a report message, dont send).
when i tried to open these three files on a pc with os win98 and office2000 i got an illegal operation message.
how could i open that files safetly…
that is very important to me
