error closing Outlook XP

We have several users receiving the following error when shutting down Outlook XP. ” Microsoft Outlook has encountered an error and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.” There is also a checkbox to restart Outlook. This is occurring on Windows 2000 Professional computers. Has any seen this error before? Thanks
