Error Logs

I would like to know if anybody knows where Microsoft Excel stores any error logs that get created when working on a spreadsheet. I get a popup box saying that an error has occured and that it’s creating an error log. The spreadsheet then gets corrupted and then needs to be restored and it happens to different spreadsheets not just one. I have checked in the Event Viewer and don’t see a thing about errors.

Running:
Windows 2000
Office 2000
Current on all Microsoft patches for both.
