Excel 2002/word 2002

We have finacial statments in Excel 2002 that we need to do a save as and everytime our users do a save as it will not allow them to.These financial have macros enabled. It goes into recovery.
We run Novell 6.0 sp2, Windows 2000 sp2,Novell client 4.83 sp1 and excel 2002. The error description in recovery is

ModVer: 10.0.4302.0 Offset: 00024e82

This happens on every financial statement and every workstation. Any help would be appreciated.
