excel/97/xp macros question

I have a computer with win95 and office97, we have documents on this pc done in excel97 which contain macros.
I have another computer with xp and office xp. When I copy the excel workbook from the old pc to the new one(over a network) the macros are not there when I access the macro screen from excel 2002. I am assuming that the macros are not saved in the actual workbook but saved on the old win95 hard drive. How do I correct this…
