Exchange 2000 logs

Iv got a Exchange 2000 server that someone move the exchange 2000 transaction logs manuly. They didn’t use the Exchange system manager. Now at 12:00am when the Exchange Maintenance runs it crashes the system. My question is can I just move the logs back to where the Exchange system manager shows them to be?
