Exchange: get Mail from external Servers

Hi,
I’m setting up an exchange server 2000 and would like to set it up so that it will automatically download a users mail from an external mail server (at our ISP), without the user having to be connected to our exchange server during the process. How do I setup the individual mail accounts on our server to do that?
