Exchange server 5.5

I would like to know of a configuration or better yet white paper that will explain how to configure exchange server to periodically download emails from an outsourced POP3 server to an internal exchange server. From there i will filter and redistribute the mail to the appropriate user.
Any suggestion will be helpfull
