Exchange Server LDAP config problem

I’m having problems getting LDAP to work for my client machines. LDAP is enabled on the Exchange server, but the clients can’t connect to it. I looked in the services file on the server, and LDAP is not listed. Do I need to add it to this list along with Port 389? Thanks for the help.
