Exmerge Public Folders?

Is it possible to exmerge a public folder? I currently have a folder called Email Logging, which records all emails set out of my firm. Is there a way to extract all those emails into a PST or even an edb file that can be viewable if needed. Eventually I’ll run into problems of limited storage space and I want to be ready.
