Exporting/Importing

Hi All!
I have a spreadsheet with calculations in it that needs to be imported into Access 97. The problem is that when I import the spreadsheet into Access the calcuations do not carry over. Is there some kind of formula that can be written in Access to calculate those fields? Thanks for any insight that you gurus may have.
