Fax to E-Mail

Is there any way to have faxes that are currently directed to a Canon Fax Machine to be re-directed to an email address instead?

The PC is currently running Windows XP.

I know that there are vendors out there that you can contract with, but then a new fax number is needed. I am working with a trucking firm/ and an accounting firm and trying to avoid that.
