Hanndle the phone and web with one line

Hello All:

From home I have to connect to the web through one line, which is also my family’s telephone line. Having teenagers around it makes it difficult to do support while one may miss “that important call”. While I am online a telephone callwill simply go to the answering service after eg 4 rings.

TechRepublic did mention some software quite a while ago that will inform one regarding a telephone call whilst online and enable one to quickly switch to the telephone call, whilst still keeping the online link.

Can anyone remember this or can anyone suggest a solution to this little sensitive issue at our house?

Any help will be really appreciated.
