hotmail

I have a problem accessing my inbox email. I use win/xp/home. When I initiate hotmail I get error on page message at the bottom of the web page. When I try to go to inbox and bring up my email messages, nothing happens. I cannot do anything, open a message, delete, move to another folder. Have I done something at sometime? When I originally started hotmail, I had no problems.
