How do I disable password logon Outlook

I have just installed Outlook using Office XP Standard on a Win 2000 system. The Problem I have is that everytime I try to send and recieve email I get a password logon to the POP server. We are running a peer to peer network with no Exchange server and no passwords for logging onto email. I have tried using the net logon password but that doesn’t work and when I remove any password that might be in the incoming mail password field that does not seem to do any good either. i have even triedto set a password and the Logon won’t accept that. I am stumped
