HTTP front-end in Exchange 2000

I m quite a newbie.I need to get some of the users connected to the Exchange 2000 Mailbox Store from behind the firewall. Is this a good solution to place a http front-end server on an Exchange 2000 dual-homed SMTP gateway, Regards, Jo
