Hyperlink data in MS SQL 2000

Trying to convert an ACCESS database to MS SQL 2000. I have a field in the ACCESS DB that contains a HYPERLINK to a document. When the SQL DB is created it contains the data but it is not a Hyperlink anymore. Is ther a way to have a data type for Hyperlink in MS SQL DB?
