Hyperlinks

I have finished OCR of an old book with more than 400 documents, and have made quite a lot of hyperlinks within the document. When converting the doc into a pdf formatted file, it reports that it wasn’t saved due to errors in bookmark or hyperlinks? Is there any tips available, on how to proofread and identify the bad link or links in the document? I am using XP-Home with Office 2003.
