Hyperlinks in OL2K -> blank pages in

Outlook 2000 (all patches), IE 6 (all patches), Win2K domain.

Issue: Someone creates a new email in HTML format. They insert a hyperlink to an html file on our LAN, using file:// for the link. The path can be either a mapped drive or UNC, it doesn’t matter. When a recipient clicks on the link, IE only shows a blank page. If they navigate to the file using Explorer and double click on it, it works just fine.

Is this a known issue? I can’t find any mention of it in the MSKB. Ifanyone has a fix or workaround, I’d really appreciate it.
