I cannot upload my page on my site

I newly registred a domain name now I want to upload a simple page on it. I upload it through “Cute FTP” I have not MS Office. Can I do without it(MS Office).
Cute FTP shows the page has been uploaded but browser does not shows. Although it shows the new date of change. Please help me.
