IE 6 runtime error

When launching IE6 I get the following dialogue box:

Runtime Error!

Program C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE

This applicatio has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application’s support team for more information.

How can I resolve this error?
