I have a user who can no longer download files from the internet. He never gets prompted w/ the File Download box so that he can choose to run from current location or save to disk. Instead he clicks on the link & it just goes to another screen that is blank except for a small box at top left corner. Does not give me any type of error though. I have uninstalled IE 5.5 back to vs. 4 & still receive it under version 4. I have reviewed the internet options & all is enabled for user to download. We believe that another application was loaded that caused this problem because previously user would try clicking on a link & the app would open, but would only come up w/ a gray screen. That program has since been uninstalled however we still cannot download files. Anyway, I am needing suggestions on what to try to get IE to prompt user once again w/ the file download screen.
