image not displaying

I have created my first website using frontpage 2000 and uploaded to my tiscali personal webspace via the WS_FTP program.

I have inserted both a jpeg image and a clipart image to my webpage and these can be seen in preview in frontpage. When i check in my browser however – there is no image just an empty box with a little red cross in the corner (which does nothing when you click on it!).

I have checked my internet settings and can see images from other peoples websites so I don’t know what else to check?

Tiscali have a policy of not supporting extensions in front page so is the use of a .jpeg or clip art classed as an extension? This would then explain the problem and a move to a professional host site would then be my next move.
