I need assistance on a little problem I have.
Our Network
I have about 13 branches each with its LAN and a WAN linking all to the head office. The Head office acts as the central storage area hence the WAN gets weighed down a number of times. We thus decided to have the various LANs, locally manage their resources and data, while the head office acts as a central pool for each of the LANs.
Scenario
In deploying Terminal services, we want to have each LAN manage its own Licenses sothat license requests are not made over the WAN.
In purchasing the CALS, we made an estimate of what will be needed in all the branches and purchased as one.
The problem I have now is how to distribute these licenses over the branches as required.
My Limitations
I feel that one I supply the License serve Id as well as the activation and licenses keys to Microsoft the 35- character License code given to me will be for the 50 CALs I purchased so how do I use this on my 13 Terminal Servers.
