Instant voice messaging

I recently had to re-install Outlook for unknow problems, since then I can hear my “contacts’ but they cannot hear me when we connect on the MSN messenger. I have checked everywhere and everything looks ok, but still cannot get to the point the my contacts can hear me. Any help would be appreciated. Thx,
