Internal DSL & Win XP

I have an internal DSL modem, I upgraded Windows XP in October when it came out from Win ME. My DSL connections has been working great since then until I rebooted my system last Monday and now I get a 678 error. The modem has a green connection light. Any ideas that would help me get this back up and functional?
